Welcome to the new world, it’s the end of a decade across the world and we present to you a new form of community. Everyone’s blathering about having way too many net accounts to check, bugging about how many twitter updates they have to do. Well we may not stack up with Livejournal, FaceBook, YouTube or any other social network- but we try to do our best. From forums to a private messaging system, online games and galleries and other goodies to come, we invite you to check out everything we have to offer.
We’ve gone down a long road since our first seedling into socialization in 2008, with varied ways of making our community and blogs work – we’ve had a lot of road blocks as well. Recently being victim to a malware attack, we were forced to rebuild from the ground up, a hard task considering we’d had a year’s worth under our belt previously.
We’re now in our second year on the internet, and we’ve reworked our new community to feature things we’d never thought possible in our own way. Bridging gaps and cracks within the visual asian culture communities on the internet, making it possible to connect everyone. We’re not here to bowl over, shove over or even take over – we’re here to be here for you, and be a part of a community.
If you have something you would like to contribute, we more than welcome you to come on board and help us grow our new community. Whether you just want to register and be a part of the forums, lurk or even be an author we welcome everyone and anyone. Sadly , yes we even do welcome those that want to do harmful viral attacks at our place. Why? We’re stupidly just that nice, set them down drug them with sake and make them see why we’re not worth the attacks – then they’ll quit hopefully!
We thank you for your continued support, and hope to see many of you that we’ve met before – on our community. Our original forums had with credit, used several asian culture related folders of 100×100 icons provided by several LJ icon making communities. We’d like to thank them, and by that we would love to feature your work in separate galleries on our site! A mirror to mirror the beauty of art!

WASHINGTON (AFP) – Some 700 million people worldwide, or more than all the adults of North and South America combined, think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence and want to permanently move to another country, a poll showed Tuesday.

Residents of sub-Saharan African countries were the most likely to want to move abroad permanently, the polls conducted in 135 countries between 2007 and this year by Gallup showed.

On average, 38 percent of the adult population in sub-Saharan Africa, or around 165 million people, said they would up stakes and head for another country if they had the chance.

The most popular destination was the United States, where nearly a quarter of the 700 million — around 165 million people — said they would like to settle.

In joint second were Britain, Canada and France, each being named as the preferred destination of around 45 million people.

Thirty-five million said they would go to Spain, 30 million to Saudi Arabia, and 25 million each to Australia or Germany.

The least likely to want to emigrate were Asians — only one in 10 Asian adults said they would move to another country.

Nearly 260,000 people aged 15 years and older were surveyed, either by phone or face-to-face, for the poll, which has a margin of error of around five percent.

Ling Tosite Sigure (凛として時雨), also known as Rin Toshite Shigure, are a three-piece JRock band. The band was formed in Saitama, Japan in 2002. Their sound is fast guitar driven music with many abrupt tempo changes. Alarmed by a rise in people jumping to their deaths in front of trains, some Japanese railway operators are installing special blue lights above station platforms they hope will have a soothing effect and reduce suicides.

As of November, East Japan Railway Co has put blue light-emitting diode, or LED, lights in all 29 stations on Tokyo’s central train loop, the Yamanote Line, used by 8 million passengers each day.

There’s no scientific proof that the lights actually reduce suicides, and some experts are skeptical it will have any effect. But others say blue does have a calming effect on people.

“We associate the colour with the sky and the sea,” Mizuki Takahashi, a therapist at the Japan Institute of Color Psychology, a private research centre that was not involved in the lighting project.

“It has a calming effect on agitated people, or people obsessed with one particular thing, which in this case is committing suicide.”
